Today, Lincoln Park is bordered from North Avenue to Diversey Parkway and Lake Michigan to the Kennedy Expressway. Lincoln Park is also home to Chicago’s DePaul University. The area surrounding DePaul not only houses students, but also young renters and affluent families.
One of the city’s oldest neighborhoods with history tracing back to the 1820s, Lincoln Park is filled with cozy coffee houses, four-star restaurants, swanky boutiques mixed with antique shops and bookstores – providing the perfect mix of culture and entertainment.
Residents can enjoy anything and everything from The Lincoln Park Zoo to the city’s best off-Loop theatre companies and numerous music and jazz spots. The area’s greatest natural asset is Lincoln Park itself – 1,200 acres of playing fields, biking and jogging paths, picnic areas, a public golf course and more. Bordering Lake Michigan, the park also offers lagoons, boat harbors and beaches.
